REBELCA (RebecaElena Carini) is an Italian-Romanian screenwriter and director.
She expresses herself in mixed media to create different kind of impactful contents.
Graduated with top grades at:
BAH in Visual Arts at Brera's Fine Art Academy (MI)
MA in Filmmaking at Rome University of Fine Arts - RUFA (RM)
FAMU International (Prague)
Since 2014 she grew national and international work experience infilm, working mainly in the Production and Direction departmentsfor big directors as Marco Bellocchio, Gianni Amelio, Manetti Bros., Mimmo Calopresti, Sergio Rubini, Daniele Ciprì, Urs Egger and others, while working on personal projects as freelancer and taking commissions.
In 2023 she debuted with her first feature-length documentary "The Land YouBelong", an european co-production between Italy and Romania, supported by EURIMAGE, AJ Balkan Documentary, Cannes Docs, WEMW, E-R Film Commission, CNC Film Fund and others. The film has been premiered at the 63rd Krakow IFF and won the TOPDOC Award for "Best Documentary Film" at BIOGRAFILM, and now is available on Amazon Prime distributed by iWonder/iWonderfull.
Currently, she is developing her second feature documentary and a period-drama tv serie selected at TIFF’s “Drama Room” with menthor Eilon Ratzkovsky.
This year, she will also take part to the 3rd Film Accelerator Program with Werner Herzog.
